We are looking for a skilled sonographer with some specific credentials (see below) to care for our patients in our beautiful Heart and Vascular Institute. Here are the details: - Full-time
- 40 hours per week
- Weekdays
- Clinic hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm
JOB SUMMARY: Operates ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images, prepares room equipment, and supplies. Provides patient care during imaging procedures. Records information for the patient's medical records. Explains procedure to the patient. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current ARDMS registry card on file with RDCS and RVT certifications
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
- Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing
- Able to frequently lift up to 60 pounds, reach, pull, bend, stoop and kneel
- Demonstrates adequate vision or correctable glass to read, write, and evaluate medical images
- Able to hear and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the telephone
- Able to hear, see and feel to accurately observe, monitor, and administer care
- Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e., operate ultrasound equipment, venipuncture if needed)
